David Clark

About Me

My name is David Clark and I am excited to be at Nibley Park K-8. Over the years I have had several jobs and have enjoyed many hobbies. When I was 11 years old I started my first job - delivering newspapers right across the street from this school. As an adult I worked at the largest printing facility in the western United States. I have worked in nuclear power plants, in construction, and in the mining industry. Now I feel blessed to have landed my dream job – Teaching. Actually, I have been able to teach and/or train in many of my other jobs, but teaching in a Middle School has been my favorite job so far.

I love singing and playing musical instruments. I enjoy most sports, but my favorites have been wrestling, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, racquetball, and basketball. I am in awe of the outdoors. I am amazed at the power of nature’s storms. I enjoy camping and hiking. I also love learning. My all-time favorite thing to do, though, is to spend time with my family. My wife is my best friend and together we have 4 children and 7 perfect grandchildren.

I grew up about a half mile from Nibley Park. In fact, my big brother taught me how to fish at the Nibley Park golf course (I still don’t know if we were allowed to do that). I love this area. I graduated from Granite High School (Go Farmers!!) I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, also from the University of Phoenix. I teach Math, Digital Literacy, and Spanish in our Middle School grades.
