Cathrine Snow

About Me

My name is Cathrine Snow and I love teaching third grade. I have taught at Nibley Park for my whole career. I have taught 3rd grade, Kindergarten, and 4th grade. This year I am embarking on a new adventure. I will be the school’s new librarian.

I grew up here in Salt Lake City, except for a few years during high school when I lived abroad in Vienna, Austria. I went to an American International school, and this is where I truly learned how important education is. From this incredible experience, I realized that it was my life desire to become an elementary school teacher. I came home for my senior year and graduated from Highland High School in 1997. It was that fall that began my studies at the University of Utah. I graduated from the University in 2004 with my Bachelor of Science in elementary education. Last fall, I began taking classes from Southern Utah Universtiy for my Library Media Endorsement. I will graduate this December with my Master’s Degree.

I am married and have been married for almost 19 years and have three beautiful daughters, Ella (11 years old), Marta (8 years old), and Poppy (4 years old). We live in the Sugar House area and enjoy it very much.  I have been very lucky to travel extensively throughout my life. From this, I have learned about the world and other cultures. I love diversity and the aspect it brings to my classroom.

I believe that every child can be taught, and they all have a desire to learn. The children just need the love and support of a loving teacher and parents to guide them throughout their education. I am excited to get to know you and your child.
