End of Year Testing – Students are still taking end of year assessment tests. Please make sure that your students get plenty of rest. We want all students to be engaged and do their best. We have scheduled times for remote learners to come in and take their tests. Remote learners may also come in and take the tests with their classes during the scheduled times. We want all students to take their tests in person; however, if a remote learner has an extenuating circumstance, please contact the student’s teacher. Social Distancing is practiced. Our goal is to have 100% of our students tested.

Yearbooks: Due to a problem with ordering yearbooks on-line, we must collect the payments at school. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, please complete the form that was sent home with students, place it in an envelope, and have your child return it to the classroom teacher by May 28, 2021. The cost for each yearbook is $10.00. If you student is remote, please complete the form and bring it to the main office on Wednesday, May 19th, or 26th between 9:00 A.M. and Noon. A form must be completed for each student. If you ordered a yearbook last year, please send Mrs. Battle an e-mail at frances.battle@slcschools.org.

Virtual Talent Show: Any student who wanted to participate should have contacted their teacher. The date has been extended to Monday, May 17, 2021. We look forward to seeing a variety of acts (two minutes or less). Recording will take place at Nibley Park School on Monday, May 24th, Tuesday, May 25 (if needed), and Wednesday, May 26th (for online students). Any inappropriate act will not be included in the showcase. After compiling the video, teachers will receive a link to share the full showcase at their convenience.

Please take the time to read our Superintendent's Newsletter - Salt Lake City School District (slcschools.org).  Important up-dates are provided weekly. Monthly Board Meetings are also listed on the district web site.

As always, I thank you for allowing our teachers and staff to be members of your child’s learning community. Continue to stay safe and have a nice weekend! Together, we are strong and will continue to make a positive difference.
